Therapy

Hello! I'm so glad you found me. I know that starting therapy can be hard, even if you've done it before.

It might help to know that there's a lot of research that shows that a good, solid relationship between the therapist and the client is the key ingredient in successful therapy — even more important than a therapist's degree, or what approaches they use.

I'm a clinical social worker, and I chose that degree because it has a strong social justice component, and because it specifically recognizes that therapy doesn't happen in a vacuum. I know that my clients live in the real world, so what worked in a research study might not actually help the human being sitting across from me.

My Promise to You

I will always bring my best self to our work together

I will never assume I know more about you than you do

Your time is precious — I'll never phone it in or waste a minute

No starting late, no eating during sessions, no hunting for last week's notes. (Yes, these are real experiences people have shared with me!)

Focus Areas

I have the most experience working with:

Reproductive Mental Health

From puberty through menopause, including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders like postpartum depression

Anxiety

Generalized, social, panic, and OCD

Relationships

Partners, parents, siblings, family of origin, colleagues, and friends

Burnout & Perfectionism

Over-achieving and the exhaustion that comes with it

Trauma

Acute and chronic, including experiences that don't always "look like" trauma

Expat Life

Migration and the challenges of living far from home

Identity & Existential Crises

Who am I? What does it all mean?

Grief & Loss

All kinds, including pregnancy and infant loss

I work mostly with women (that's mostly who comes to therapy), but I also enjoy working with men.

I don't work with children under 16 or do couples therapy — but I'm happy to provide referrals!

Therapeutic Approaches

I'm not wedded to any single approach — what matters is what works for you.

I draw on ACT, IPT, IFS, DBT, CBT, mindfulness, attachment theory, and Buddhist psychology.

Frequently Asked Questions

You live in Spain and I don't. How does that work?+

I do tele-therapy via an easy-to-use and secure platform that doesn't require a username or password for clients. I typically work between 10:00am and 8:00pm Central European Time.

I live in Barcelona. Can I see you in person?+

Yes! I have access to a lovely office in central Barcelona where we can meet occasionally. I travel a fair bit, so I often meet with Barcelona-based clients online, too.

I live in the U.S. Can I work with you?+

If you're in Florida, Maryland, Michigan, New Mexico, North Carolina, Virginia, or Washington, DC, yes!

I regularly add licenses in other states, so please check with me. Unfortunately, I can't work with people in U.S. states where I'm not licensed.

I don't live in Spain or the U.S. Can I work with you?+

Yes! I can work with clients anywhere in the world, as long as our schedules align.

Do you take insurance?+

I'm not paneled with any insurance plans — you pay me directly. If you have a plan that offers reimbursement, I can provide an invoice (even if you don't live in the U.S.).

I also reserve a portion of my availability for sliding scale clients, so please don't hesitate to ask.

How much do you charge?+
Single Session$195
5-Session Package$185/session
10-Session Package$175/session
Barcelona Residents$125/session

Most clients opt for packages. If these rates are a hardship, please ask about sliding scale availability.
